Fly in early to stretch your legs on a casual hike with your teammates. Insulindependence will provide race-friendly food for everyone attending.

Surf Breakfast, Warm Waters Beach (Carlsbad)
Cool your race weekend nerves with a morning splash in the Pacific! Insulindependence will be providing surf- and boogie boards, wetsuits, coffee, and breakfast.
Time: 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Kids 1-mile, Legoland® (Carlsbad)
Though created for kids ages 12 and under, everyone is welcome to participate. Moms, dads, and big kids are invited to join the fun. Read more from the menu to the left.

Glucomotive Awards Reception, Ocean House (Carlsbad)
Discuss race-day strategies with teammates over a celebratory pasta dinner. All team members will receive awards for participating in the weekend, with chances to win additional prizes.
Time: 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Location: Ocean House, 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad, CA
Tickets: $25 Online, $30 at the door, (official fundraisers have a complimentary ticket to this event)

Race Day, Tri-City Medical Center Carlsbad Marathon & Half
Give it your all on the full- and half-marathon race courses! Enjoy the sensational Pacific surf on your way to the Insulindependence finisher's tent.
Time: 6:00 a.m. Marathon Start, 7:30 a.m. Half-Marathon Start
Location: Same as expo: Camino Real Westfield Mall
Not Racing? Want to hang out and cheer for the athletes? Come volunteer at the Insulindependence aid-station. The station will be our headquarters for the morning, and a perfect venue for watching the race and cheering for athletes. Please have all available volunteers register HERE.
